The Ontario Civilian Police Commission has announced a budget hearing date between London Police and the City of London.

The hearing of the application will start at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 at London City Hall.

In April, council turned down the request for $4 million in additional funds to hire five officers and one civilian employee.

That decision has triggered an appeal by the London Police Services Board to the OCPC.

The hearing will continue, as necessary, through to Nov. 18.

It will be open to the public, but it will not be televised nor recorded in any way other than by a court reporter, as required.
