Wellington County OPP officers say a vehicle collided with one of their cruisers while responding to a different crash.

According to police, the incident happened on Wellington County Road 124 in Guelph-Eramosa Township, Thursday at 4:55 p.m.

Police say an officer was responding to a three-vehicle collision, driving westbound on the paved shoulder with the truck’s emergency lights activated.

A 65-year-old woman was driving eastbound in a 2010 Ford Flex, when she turned left into a private driveway and allegedly collided with the police vehicle.
