A woman is facing several charges after allegedly biting a police officer in Chatham.

Around 7:30 pm Friday, police were called to an address on McFarlane Ave in Chatham for an unwanted person in the home.

Once there, officers found a 37 year old woman who was uncooperative and out of control.

During the incident, officers tried to restrain her, that's when she allegedly bit the officer on the leg.

She was charged with assaulting police and uttering threats.

She was later released to appear in court on Wednesday, December 16.
