Two young girls were found safe Monday after wandering away from a family home in Saugeen Township.

The pair, ages 5 and 6, had been playing in the backyard and wandered off.

Police say the property is surrounded by a wooded area, farm land and a creek.

Police search teams and family of the two girls searched the property.

A family member of one of the girls located clothing roughly 500 metres from where they were last seen.

They were found shortly after safe and sound but the girls had lost their shoes.

Foul play is not suspected and no charges are pending.
