Police say that a shooting on Ridout Street early Wednesday morning occurred during a likely robbery and that they are looking for two male suspects.

One male victim remains in hospital in critical condition following the shooting. Two other victims of the robbery were unhurt.

According to police it appears that the occupants were the intended targets of a robbery that took place. It is unclear if the victims were known to the suspects.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1 - Male, black, 5ft8in (172cm) to 6ft (183cm) tall and weighing approximately 230lbs (104kg). He is further described as bald, with a muscular build.

Suspect 2 - Male, black, 5ft6 (167cm) to 5ft7in (170cm), 140 to 160lbs (63 to 72kg). This male was said to be dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police say a 911 call was made at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday in relation to an injured male on Ridout  near Kent Street.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who resides in, or who was traveling through, the area to contact police to report observations of suspicious activity of any kind around the time of the incident.
