A structure housing about 1,700 bales of straw went up in flames Sunday night at a farm on Beaconsfield Road southeast of Woodstock.
The Burgessville Fire Department and OPP responded to the fire in Norwich Township around 9:30 p.m.
Officials say straw inside a quonset hut with a plastic shell caught fire. There was no livestock in the structure.
Beaconsfield was temporarily closed from Highway 59 to Cedar Line so fire crews could bring water in to fight the fire.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
