A member of the Norfolk County Fire Department found a missing child sleeping under a tarp in the woods.
Concerned family members called Norfolk County OPP at about 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, saying the three-year-old boy was last seen at 6:45 p.m.
The emergency response team, canine unit, fire department and paramedics immediately began a ground search near Old Brock Road in Vittoria, Ont.
At about 11:30 p.m., a firefighter found the boy in a wooded area, sleeping under a tarp.
He was reunited with his family and transported to the Norfolk General Hospital as a precaution.
