A 56-year-old man is in hospital after he was stabbed in the right shoulder Friday night, Elgin OPP say, and a Southwold Township man has been charged.
A 23-year-old Southwold Township man is facing one count of aggravated assault.
OPP say the accused was involved in an altercation with a family friend. Both Elgin and Middlesex OPP responded to the call.
The 56-year-old is in London Health Sciences Centre in stable condition with injuries that aren't life threatening.
Police continue their investigation and a bail hearing for the 23-year-old will be held Saturday.
