London police are investigating a pair of early morning fires on Sunday.

Emergency crews were first called to 378 Calgary Street around 2:50 a.m. for a blaze at a vacant home.

The fire was quickly put out.

No one was hurt.

The cause is undetermined at this time.

Damage is estimated at approximately $100,000.

Later at approximately 5:30 a.m., fire and police officers were called to 1443 Huron Street for a townhouse fire.

Crews pulled out an man from the burning building.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.

Damage is pegged at $100,000.

Investigators remain at both scenes.
