Provincial police have arrested a second suspect in the theft and burning of the Elgin County OPP Marine Unit's patrol boat.
Gerald Robert 'JJ' Jacques, 37, was arrested without incident in London on Tuesday evening by OPP and London police officers.
He faces charges including theft over $5,000, arson and possession of property obtained by crime and remains in custody for a bail hearing on Friday.
In June, Michael James Larson, 20, was arrested and charged with theft over $5,000 and arson in the incident.
The boat was stolen from the Port Stanley marina and set on fire on June 25th, leaving police unable to respond to marine emergencies until a temporary replacement arrived days later.
Officials hope a permanent replacement will be arranged ahead of the 2015 boating season.
