With the London region under a winter storm warning, it’s bad timing for Super Bowl fans.

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest days of the year for house parties and events at sports bars. Many people hit the road to go to their party of choice.

“We’re hoping everyone can get here safe to enjoy the game but I would expect the weather will play a role in some people getting about,” says Todd Aaronson of Joe Kool’s.

And the combination of a winter storm and a night of partying has police issuing warnings.

Outside of the city, police are asking motorists to consider modifying their plans.

And in the city, a London officer says it’s not a bad idea to watch the game at home.

“We know when the game starts. We know when it ends. We know people are going to be on the road so we will be diligent out there. We'll be aware of what's going on,” says Const. Frank Figliomeni.

“So we hope that people will take the appropriate measures and drive safe.”

And the bad weather is expected to last into Monday.

“I would suggest there'll be a lot of people phoning in sick tomorrow - either that or claiming they're snowed in,” says one fan.
