Hundreds of Londoners participated in the 39th annual Forest City Road Races on Sunday.

"I think our numbers as of this morning was around 2500 give or take," says organizer Shauna Stewart.

Runners had a choice to run in either a 5K, 10K or a half marathon.

Mark Collis ran the half marathon while pushing his disabled daughter Amanda the whole way.

"It's not as tough as you think it was. She keeps me going, she does the downhills and I do the uphills, says Collis.

"If it inspires one more person to get out there, have a good time, spend some time with their kids it's all worth it," adds Collis.

This is the first year that CTV London has entered a team into the Forest City Road Race.

It was all organized by Weather Specialist Julie Atchison who completed her first ever half marathon.

"My cousin has Type One diabetes and so I wanted to assemble a team really to support him. He's running here and his mom is running here and we have 30 people on our team running," says Atchison.

CTV London team raised close to $8000 for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Over 20 different charities were supported during the races.
