Middlesex County OPP have reopened a stretch of Highway 401, following a fatal collision in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
The collision, involving a transport truck and a car, occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m.
Police say a westbound car ran into the back of a transport truck that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.
As a result, the driver of the car was killed. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Following the crash, police closed all westbound lanes on the highway and were diverting traffic onto Dorchester Road for several hours.
Police are continuing their investigation.
