Four Londoners are among this year’s 113 inductees into the Order of Canada.

Thursday morning it was announced that Governor General David Johnston would be appointing 113 new members to the Order.

On this list from London this year are Howard Rundle, Gerald Fagan, Ronald Wonnacott, and Tsun-Kong Sham.

The Order of Canada is one of the Country’s highest civilian honours.

Rundle is being recognized for his commitment to the development and growth of Ontario’s colleges and for his leadership at Fanshawe College.

Fagan is being appointment in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of choral music in Canada as a conductor and educator.

Wonnacott is being honoured for his contributions to Canadian international trade policy, while Sham is honoured for his leadership in establishing the Canadian Light Source research facility as well as his research using synchrotron radiation.

All recipients will receive their insignia at a later date.
