A 39-year-old has been charged after he was clocked by Middlesex OPP at 120 km/h in a 50 zone while travelling through Ilderton.

An officer was patrolling on Hyde Park Road near Maplewood Lane shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday when a northbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup was seen speeding.

The officer measured the vehicle’s speed and found it was travelling 70 km/h over the limit.

Michael Danna of Grand Bend has been charged under stunt driving legislation. His truck was impounded and his driver’s licence suspended for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in a London court to answer to the charges.
