It was quite the show Saturday morning across the St Clair River, as the former DTE Energy power plant in Marysville Michigan was demolished.

The implosion took place at 8 a.m.

The plant known opened in 1922 and shut down in 2001.

The site was acquired by commercial development company in 2014.

A development is planned for the waterfront property which includes a 100-room hotel, restaurants and a marina.
