The Lambton County Health Unit reports a dead crow found in June, south of Sarnia, has tested positive for the West Nile virus.

This is the first positive result in the county this year.

The dead crow was found June 21.

The unit advises people to use repellants containing DEET, wear protective, light coloured clothing and take precautions during dawn and dusk when mosquito activity is at is highest to protect themselves from mosquitoes.
