Investigators from the Transport Canada Safety Board have taken several items from the wreckage of a fatal plane crash Saturday near Sarnia for further examination in Toronto.
The pilot and lone occupant of the plane, 65-year-old Keith Murray of Sarnia, died in the crash that happened at 11:45 a.m.
Police say a wing came off of the Ultra-Light airplane and the plane spiralled into a corn field.
Investigators from Transport Canada will be trying to determine why the wing came off the aircraft.
Sarnia police say they have concluded their investigation and thank witnesses who came forward.
