One man is in custody following an alleged gun sighting in the White Oaks Mall parking lot.
Around 6:15 p.m., police were called to the south end of the parking lot for a suspect holding a rifle.
After a brief chase, the man was arrested and taken into custody.
During the foot chase, there was an accidental discharge of a police firearm into the ground.
There were no injuries.
The investigation continues.
