Four people have been transported to hospital, one in serious condition, following a collision near the Township of Malahide.
Elgin County OPP were called to the intersection of Imperial Road and Ron McNeil Line on Sunday around 9:46 p.m. for a report of a serious collision.
Through their investigation, police say a westbound Toyota car failed to stop for a stop sign, striking a Ford pickup truck. The car came to rest in a nearby ditch, while the truck stopped at the corner of the intersection.
The three occupants of the Toyota had to be extricated from the vehicle. The back passenger, a 21-year-old Listowel, Ont. man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. The driver and front passenger were uninjured.
The 72-year-old driver and two passenger of the pickup were sent to hospital with minor injuries.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are continuing their investigation.
