No one was hurt after an airplane left the runway Thursday morning at the London International Airport.

According to officials, around 6:45 a.m., an Air Canada Jazz Dash 8-400 bound for Toronto, taxied off the runway a few feet into a snowy, grass-covered area.

The plane was shut down as a precautionary measure.

There were 53 people on board at the time.

Passengers were taken back the terminal to schedule another flight.

In a statement to CTV News, Jazz Aviation spokesperson Debra Williams said, while the aircraft was taxiing for departure, the nose wheel “became stuck in the grass” on the side of the runway.

“We apologize to our passengers for the inconvenience that they experienced this morning.”

It's not clear if weather was a factor.
