Sexual assault charges have been officially filed against five hockey players

CTV News has obtained court documents confirming sexual assault charges against five members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior team.

Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Alex Formenton, Carter Hart, and Michael McLeod have each been charged with sexual assault for an incident in June of 2018 in London, Ont.

Michael McLeod also faces an additional charge of being a party to the offence.

According to the documents, they are all expected to appear in court Monday morning, the same day London Police Service (LPS) will hold a press conference.

The press conference is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. and will be streamed live on CTV News London’s website.

LPS Chief Thai Truong and Detective Sergeant Katherine Dann of the sexual assault division will take part.
