London police, as well as friends, are trying to determine why a man was beaten unconscious outside a housing complex early Tuesday.
Officers were called to 337 Southdale Rd. E. at 6:25 a.m. for a report of an injured male.
The man was found in critical condition and rushed to hospital. His name has not been released.
"He doesn't have any enemies. There's nobody that would hate him, as far as I can see. I've only known him for four years, but everything I've seen is very positive," says the man’s friend, Wadji Khouri.
The Major Crimes Section is now trying to figure out an exact time and place of the assault. Investigators say it’s possible it occurred several hours earlier.
"This is a serious investigation. We do have lots that we have to do as part of the investigation, such as canvassing, look for video, anything else that will assist with the investigation. Currently we have major crimes here to determine what actually occurred here," says Const. Ken Steeves.
Anyone with information is asked to call London police or Crime Stoppers.
