Collision on Longwoods Road sends child to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A child is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a motor-vehicle collision on Longwoods Road just west of Lambeth this afternoon.
Police say that shortly before 4:00 p.m., the collision took place near the intersection of Longwoods and Murray Road involving a pedestrian.
The child was transported to hospital, and all involved remained on scene.
Longwoods Road was closed between Colonel Talbot Road and Kilborne Road for most of the evening.
The investigation is ongoing – anyone that was in the area and may have dash-cam or video surveillance in the area between 3:45 and 4:05 p.m. is asked to contact police.
