Huron OPP have laid more charges following an alleged sexual assault on a public trail.
Police say the assault took place around 6:30 Saturday, June 18th, on the public trail between MacNaughton Park in Exeter and the Morrison Dam Conservation Area on Morrison Line.
A woman reported that she was walking on the trail when she was attacked by a stranger from behind and sexually assaulted.
The alleged attacker fled the scene on a bicycle heading into Exeter. OPP arrested a male suspect shortly afterward.
A 19-year-old man from Exeter is now facing a charge of sexual assault, robbery and two charges of failing to comply with conditions of a probation order.
The accused is in police custody.
He has a court date scheduled for Friday in Goderich.
