London police say one man is in hospital in critical condition following a stabbing Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to 345 Wharncliffe Road North around 11 a.m. after reports of a man suffering from stab wounds.

The man was located and taken to hospital in critical condition. He remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police say they have charged a 33-year-old man from London with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and failing to comply with condition of an undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code.

According to police the victim and accused were known to each other.
