A 26-year-old London man has been charged with one count of sexual assault following an incident last week.
On Nov. 1, around 3:15 a.m. a woman and a friend negotiated a ride with a man driving a dark coloured sedan, who they believed was providing a ride service.
Once at their destination, the woman and her friend paid the fare, exited the vehicle, and entered a residence.
The driver also went into the residence and told the woman she had left some items in the back of his car.
When the woman went back to the vehicle, police say the driver touched her in a sexual manner.
She went back into the residence and called police.
She was not injured.
Police arrested a 26- year-old suspect and charged him with one count of sexual assault.
Police say he was not a driver with any cab company or ride sharing service.
