OPP say a London man has been arrested and charged in connection with pharmacy robberies in Grand Bend, Bayfield, North Perth Township, Ailsa Craig and Forest.
Provincial police, along with city forces in Waterloo Region, London, St. Thomas and Sarnia were all involved in the multi-jurisdictional investigation.
Investigators have been looking into numerous berak, enter and thefts at area pharmacies from late August to November 2014.
Officials say in each instance a quantity of drugs was stolen and then subsequently used for trafficking.
As a result of their investigation, William Christopher Kechego, 34, of London is facing a long list of charges including:
- two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose oft rafficking
- possession of a Schedule II substance – cannabis marijuana over 30 grams
- six counts of break, enter and theft
- four counts of wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
- three counts of trafficking in a Schedule I dubstance
- three counts of trafficking in dtolen goods over $5,000
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
The accused was already being held in custody on other charges in Waterloo, where he will answer to these additional charges now before the courts.
Kateland Watson, 22, of no fixed address is also charged with two counts of break and enter and one count of wearing a disguise.
And 31-year-old Robert Matthew Roth of Middlesex County is charged with three counts of break, enter and theft, three counts of wearing a disguise and three counts of failing to stop for police.
They will appear in a London court at a later date to answer to the charges.
