The outside of the facility would include an outdoor kitchen, picnic area, and parking.

The proposed location for the facility is 18 Municipal Drive, Grand Bend (Lion’s Park) – which is near the intersection of highways 21 and 81.

Currently the property is home to a baseball diamond, pavilion and outdoor shuffleboard court that would be decommissioned to make room for the new community centre.

An estimated budget pegs the project in the range of $17.5 million to $20 million.

Currently, members of the community can submit their feedback on the proposal until January 31.
