A three month joint investigation by London Police and the RCMP has resulted in a large drug bust.
London police, Waterloo Regional police and RCMP seized over $500,000 worth of drugs after raiding several homes in London and one in Waterloo following a three-month investigation.
Police also seized approximately $50,000 in Canadian currency, seven vehicles and one firearm after the investigation that started in January.
Members of the Guns and Drugs Section executed a search warrant at five London residences on April 24. With the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Service, a search warrant was also executed at a residence in the Waterloo region.
On Wednesday, search warrants were also executed at four London residences.
Police seized:
- 1404 grams of cocaine - $140,400
- 2163 grams of crack cocaine - $216,300
- 1711 grams of crystal meth - $171,100
- an Apache 12 gauge shotgun
- approximately $50,000 Canadian currency
- seven vehicles as offence-related property
The following twelve people have been charged with a total of 60 drug charges and 31 Criminal Code charges:
Moaied Elfaki (21), Asad Bhatti (24), Ahmed Jama (26), Chandara Khuon (29), Samnang Chhorn (30), Alseeni Mohamed (31), Gary and Jennifer Cloney (both 35) and Fiore Pagnotta (38), all of London; and Joseph McLeod (39), Ruth Sheehan (49) and Alvaro Brilhante (57), all of Waterloo.
