The Roman Catholic Diocese is launching an 'awareness campaign' on billboards around London and online.
In a statement, Mark Adkinson, director of communications and development for the diocese, said, "This is an experimental, small-scale advertising campaign to increase awareness about faith and prayer."
The billboards feature a large photo of Pope Francis along with quotes from his Twitter account and a reminder for people to pray.
Adkinson added, "We decided that the weeks leading up to and after Christmas would be a good time to remind people to pray and that God loves them. The billboards have short straightforward messages and feature Pope Francis as he is extremely popular with people of all faiths and even non-believers."
The first billboards are already upand and additional billboards are being added through December.
