A London woman has won $1,000 a week in the OLG’s Instant Cash for Life game.
Mary Eldridge says the winning $4 ticket was given to her for her birthday.
“Wow what a birthday present,” Eldridge said in a news release provided by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Eldridge scratched the ticket at home and even after showing her husband, she still couldn’t believe she was a winner.
“I had to use the ticket checker just to be absolutely sure and then I did my best to stay calm,” she said.
She plans to spend the money on touch-ups for her home and taking a cruise with her daughters.
The winning ticket was purchased at Shopper’s Drug Mart on Clarke Road.
The lottery also offers a lump sum payout option.
