The London Knights have traded overage forward Chandler Yakimowicz to the Sudbury Wolves.

In exchange, London receives forward Brady Pataki, Sudbury’s third round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, and Sudbury’s sixth round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.

“CJ was a key member of last season’s Memorial Cup Championship team and will continue to be a strong contributor for his new club and in his new role with the Sudbury Wolves,” said London Knights’ General Manager, Rob Simpson, in a news release..

“His veteran leadership in the room and on the ice will be missed. He will have a great opportunity to finish his OHL career in Sudbury with the Wolves.”

Yakimowicz, a Kingston, Penn., native, started his career with the Knights as a free agent in the 2013-2014 regular season.

He was recently invited to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ rookie camp that took place at Budweiser Gardens.

Pataki comes to the Knights after registering two assists in four games played this season with the Wolves.

The 18-year-old winger was originally drafted by Sudbury in the fourth round of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.  This is the Wallaceberg native’s third OHL season.
