Ontario's grain farmers have filed a court injunction asking for a 10-month delay in the implementation of new rules affecting neonicotinoid pesticides, which have been linked to bee deaths.
New provincial regulations are supposed to take effect on Wednesday and would cut back on the use of neonicotinoids.
Ontario's beekeepers say the pesticide has caused the death of millions of bees, but many farmers disagree.
The Grain Farmers of Ontario say the pesticide also helps to improve the crop yields and is less harmful than other pesticides.
They want a review of the regulations by the courts and the implementation of the proposed regulations delayed until May 1, 2016.
The province says it wasnts to reduce the use of 'neonics' by 80 percent by the year 2017.
