St. Thomas police say human remains found in Athletic Park have been identified as 54-year-old Cindy Grace Brant.
Brant - also known as Cindy Grace Hannah - was reported missing on Aug. 20, after having last been seen on July 28.
She had been estranged from her family for the past 15 years and was described as reclusive.
Human remains were discovered in Athletic Park on Sept. 14, and DNA from an immediate family member was used to make an identification.
Police say the death is not considered a criminal matter and the investigation has been closed.
