Tim Hudak isn’t putting much stake into the latest poll numbers that show the Ontario Conservatives with a lead over the Liberals and NDP.

The PC party leader says the only thing he’s thinking about is jobs.

Hudak made a campaign-style stop in London Friday, riding a wave of support that shows 37 per cent support for his party, according to an Ipsos Reid poll for CTV.

The Liberals come in at 32 per cent and the NDP sits at 28 per cent.

“Well look, I think any leader that jumps at whatever the latest poll is ends up chasing his or her tail. I'm going to focus on one thing each and every day until we get to that needed election campaign. That's jobs. I'm going to talk every day about jobs and my million jobs plan,” Huak said.

That plan was announced in January.

As for who people think would make the best premier, Hudak is now on top with 32 per cent. Kathleen Wynne's support is holding at 31 per cent and Andrea Horvath's support dropped four to 28 percent.

Southwestern Ontario appears to be turning Tory blue. The PCs are up by 15 per cent to 37 and the Liberals are at 30 per cent. The NDP have dropped 16 to 27 per cent.

The Ontario budget - set to be tabled next Thursday - could trigger a June election if the NDP choose not to support it.

“It looks to me like the NDP and their local MPPs are intent on keeping their own paycheques rather than worrying about paycheques (of Ontarians),” Hudak said.
