Sarnia inmate charged with first degree murder following jail cell violence

Early Wednesday morning, Sarnia police responded to a call from the Sarnia jail after an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell.

Shortly before 4:00 a.m., emergency services arrived on scene, and police say that the Douglas Cutbush, 51 years old, was found to have no vital signs and pronounced deceased.

Investigators have deemed the death a homicide, and the man’s cellmate Devin Gary Fentie, 33 years old, has been charged with first degree murder.
