Dozens of employees at General Dynamics in London have received their walking papers.

The company says it is eliminating 46 positions -- affect both salary and contract employees -- effective December 21st.

Spokesman Ken Yamashita says General Dynamics is reducing staff because it needs to better align the size of the organization to meet projected business.

Yamashita says the group of terminated employees represents approximately two per cent of its 2,300-member London workforce.
