A London renovator who was charged with fraud last February for not completing work but received down payments, had additional charges added on Thursday.
David Sjaarda, 45, the owner of General Building Products Ltd., was slapped with three additional counts of fraud not exceeding $5,000 and one count of fraud exceeding $5,000, London Police said.
That puts Sjaarda’s total charges at seven.
All of the alleged incidents, from September 2012 to this April, involved cash deposits requested prior to any work being done. Some of the jobs included kitchen renovations and window replacements, police said.
Additional charges were added when more victims came forward.
The suspect also operated under the company name GBP Contracting LTD.
