A London man charged in the stabbing of his five-year-old daughter appeared in court via video on Friday.
Andrew Hill, 38, was arrested and charged with attempted murder after police were called to an Applegreen Grove home early Tuesday.
During his first court appearance, he hung his head and stared at the floor.
Appearing via video from the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre, Hill said nothing other than his name and birth date.
He was ordered held in custody until his next appearance in a week.
It was also confirmed that he will be represented by defence attorney Frances Brennan.
The girl, who suffered several stab wounds, is still listed in stable condition in hospital.
