The London Cares Curbside Food Drive has wrapped up for the season, collecting more than 63,000 pounds of food.
That's down roughly 10 per cent from 2012.
But it's not all discouraging news though, as the campaign ended with a major donation from an unlikely source.
The Canadian Car Wash Association handed over a cheque for $8,350 from 27 London car washes, a first for both London and the association.
Whether it's car wash cash or cans from the kitchen cupboard, Food Bank director Glen Pearson says every little bit is appreciated.
"Every once in a while these big donations come along, like the car wash today, and that gets us up to the right level," says Pearson.
"In the summer months the demand stays the same. But the giving, the donations cause people are likely on holidays, this kind of thing. But when you see a drive like this one come when it did, that will allow us to get through the summer into the Thanksgiving time," adds Pearson.
