Two people were airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London with serious injuries following a two vehicle collision Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:45 p.m. Huron County OPP responded to the collision located on Bluewater Highway at Turnbull's Grove Road South.
The preliminary investigation discovered that a south bound Harley Davidson motorcycle on Bluewater Highway collided with a northbound GMC Envoy that was attempting to make a left turn off the highway onto Turnbull's Grove Road South.
The driver of the motorcycle, 56 year old Wayne Mercer of Toronto and his passenger Darlene McConnell, 55, also from Toronto, were both transported to London Health Sciences Centre with serious injuries.
The three occupants of the Envoy were uninjured.
Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team remain on scene investigating the collision.
Bluewater Highway has been closed between Turnbull's Road and Dashwood Road.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
