One woman is in hospital and another is facing charges after what police are calling a serious assault on Wednesday night.
Officers were called to 1-157 Mill Street around 9:15 p.m. for reports of an assault taking place.
Upon arrival, police say two women were found in the unit and one had obvious injuries that required immediate medical attention.
The woman was transported to hospital suffering from injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and is reported to be in critical condition.
A second woman was arrested at the scene.
Amy Gilbert-Cassidy, 37, of London, has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
An investigation into the incident continues.
