A 17-year-old pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision at Adelaide Street North and Fanshawe Park Road East.

London police say it happened on Sunday, shortly before 5 p.m.

A beige-coloured Honda Civic was travelling eastbound on Fanshawe Park Road at the intersection, when it collided with a pedestrian, say police.

The 17-year-old girl was walking southbound on the west side of the intersection.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital where she remains with life-threatening injuries. The man driving of the car was not injured. There were no passengers inside the car at the time of the crash.

Police say early investigation has confirmed that at the time of the collision, the Honda Civic was travelling eastbound through the intersection on a green light.
