An alleged impaired driver backed into a London police cruiser early Sunday.

Police say the driver was charged with impaired driving after coming in contact with a sergeant’s vehicle at Egerton and Brydges streets.

There was no damage to the vehicle, but the licence plate did fall off.

Const. Ken Steeves said the male driver was two times over the legal limit.

This was one of four impaired charges laid overnight by London police.

Police say they will continue to deliver the message to plan ahead for a safe ride home. They will also continue the RIDE program during the holiday season.
