Weather permitting, the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority will conduct a controlled burn near Hanover Monday.
It plans to torch about two acres of prairie grass at the Allan Park Conservation Area.
Jo-Anne Harbinson, the manager of water resources and stewardship services, says prairie grass is important to erosion control, and the burns actually keep the grass healthy.
