The London police's Explosive Disposal Unit was called to a locksmith shop late Tuesday afternoon after a startling discovery.

Reports indicate an old trunk was brought in to Rusty's Lock and Key at Belmont Dr. and Wharncliffe Rd. S. to be opened.

The trunk belonged to a former member of the military, but there was no key.

When the trunk was opened by the locksmith, it was found to contain all kinds of memorabilia, including grenades and bullets.

At that point the trunk was closed and the police called in.

There is no indication of whether the military ordinances were live or not, but London police weren't taking chances.

The bomb disposal team was called in to transport the material to be destroyed at a neutral site.
