A new branch of the Canadian Association of Veterans in UN Peacekeeping was welcomed in London on Saturday.
The opening ceremonies, where the 'Trooper Mark Wilson' branch was given its charter, were hosted by the city and open to the public.
This is the 29th branch for the association and is named in honour of the fallen soldier from the Forest City. Wilson's brother represented his family at the ceremony.
The branch is located at the corner of Pall Mall and Colborne Streets.
Membership in the association is open to those who have served in an operational theatre sanctioned by the Canadian government.
That includes civilian contractors, aid workers, civilian police and the RCMP.
