Lambton OPP have charged a male truck driver after he was stopped at the Canadian border allegedly in possession of child pornography.

Provincial police were called in by the Canadan Border Services Agency around 5 p.m. on Thursday for an investigation into child pornography possession.

Officials say the man was driving a transport truck when he entered Canada via the Blue Water Bridge where he was stopped and sent to secondary inspection, at which point the OPP was contacted.

As a result, Amanpreet Sangha, 29, of Brampton, Ont. is facing charges of importing child pornography and possession of child pornography.

He was arrested and held for a bail hearing before being released with a court date scheduled for later this month.
