A 53-year-old Detroit truck driver has been charged with failing to move over after OPP say he hit a Windsor police car on Highway 401 in Windsor.
Essex County OPP were called to the crash around 10:00 a.m. Friday on the 401 near Howard Avenue.
A Windsor police officer was conducting a traffic stop when their police vehicle was struck, from behind, by the transport truck, say OPP.
The officer was transported by EMS to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result, the male driver, Donald Lampkin, 53, of Detroit was charged with failing to move into another lane for an emergency vehicle.
